Class Room, UH 009--Class Time, 6pm-7:30pm

No textbooks have been ordered for this class.  However, you will find links to recommended readings in the outlines.

You have two options for earning your grade in this class.

  1. Your final grade will be determined by two closed-book, “essay/problem” exams (each weighted 45%--no adjustments) and one statistical project (weighted 10%).  Graduate students will have the two exams (each weighted 40%--no adjustments) and two statistical projects (each weighted 10%).
  2. Your final grade will be determined by attendance and take-home assignments (weighted 90%) and a statistical project (weighted 10%).  Graduate students will have the attendance and take-home assignments (weighted 80%) and two statistical projects (weighted 10% each).
  • Announcements
    • It is the responsibility of every student to confirm that they are registered for this class, that they have read and understand the syllabus, and they are aware of and will abide all class policies and procedures. It is assumed that all students still on the class roll after the drop deadline attended at least one class prior to the the first exam.
    • 014 UH is not available to us next Monday, July 18. That is the only day it will not be available. So, we will meet in 008 UH (essentially across the hall) next Monday.
    • No class on Wednesday, July 20.
